BiermanHenket starts renovation planning for a section of the Tweede Kamer (Netherlands House of Representatives)

The New Year has brought us a new, honourable assignment: BiermanHenket is producing the renovation design for part of the Tweede Kamer building complex.

The section we will be working on is a complex of monumental 17th to 20th-century architecture. A large part of these buildings is in use as office space for the Tweede Kamer. The section also includes the Ballroom, where the Tweede Kamer sat until 1992. In addition to renewing the systems, an important aspect of which will be integrating the systems into a mostly historical context, the renovation of façades, roofs and the interior will also be part of the assignment.

BiermanHenket is part of the architectural team for the renovation of the Tweede Kamer complex. The team consists of BiermanHenket, WDJArchitecten, Van Hoogevest Architecten, BERNS architectuur, Arcadis architecten and Pi de Bruijn - de Architekten Cie.
